On Tuesday, March 31, 2026, McDonald's launched two limited-edition meals inspired by the Academy Award-winning Netflix film "KPop Demon Hunters". The promotion features a head-to-head "Battle of the Fans" between fictional music groups HUNTR/X and the Saja Boys.
As the girl group HUNTR/X battles demon threats with music, the rival boy band Saja Boys attempts to disrupt their mission. McDonald's stated the partnership aims to "unite our iconic worlds," inviting fans into the rivalry through authentic, movie-inspired experiences.
Each meal includes a collectible card pack with exclusive photocards and a Derpy the Tiger access card. The HUNTR/X Meal offers 10-piece Chicken McNuggets and Ramyeon McShaker Fries, while the Saja Boys Breakfast Meal features a Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
Fans must scan the Derpy access card's QR code via the McDonald's app by April 26 to unlock exclusive content revealing the "Battle of the Fans" winner. This digital engagement drives app usage and extends fan participation beyond purchase.
Complementing the promotion, McDonald's introduced a Derpy McFlurry blending vanilla soft serve with berry popping pearls inspired by the film character Derpy the Tiger. These menu items are available for a limited time at participating restaurants nationwide.
