Sweden’s Election Authority now says up to 500 advance votes may have been wrongly registered after errors were reported, that's down from the original estimate of 4000. The agency cites duplicate early voting, replaced envelopes and mismatched electoral roll numbers, and calls the incident serious.
The election authority has revised down the number of people whose early votes were declared invalid from 4,000 to fewer than 500. Those affected can vote again on election day.
