On the first rest day of this Tour de France, the Tour organizers also announce which rider will take home the honor of most combative of the first week. Cycling fans at "X" chose—not surprisingly—Mathieu van der Poel.
When Primož Roglič declared at the start of this year's Tour de France that he didn't care and didn't feel any pressure to score, his statement greatly upset a section of the cycling public. As the Tour moved into its second week, the Slovenian ace clarified his views and feelings somewhat.
Mathieu Van der Poel (Alpecin-Deceuninck) was the winner of one stage, carrying the yellow jersey for three days and twice escaped, on Tuesday, the most combative rider of the first ten days of the Tour de France, on X.
