[Yomiuri Shimbun] Between March and the end of April, the carcasses of 552 seabirds and six spotted seals were found in Nemuro City, Hokkaido. The city strongly suspects that all of them are infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza virus, and there is a possibility that the virus will spread to seagulls and other animals as they approach the breeding season.
