The laser system has been successfully tested and is to be available to the German Navy from 2029.
After a year of testing at sea, the defence companies Rheinmetall and MBDA Germany transferred a laser demonstrator for the navy for further testing to the laser competence center of the Wehrtechnische Dienststelle für Waffen und Ammunition (WTD 91) in Meppen.
