Marine protected areas: 10% of Moroccan waters covered by 2030

With eight marine protected areas (MPAs) currently located along its Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, Morocco is creating new marine reserves to protect its coastline with the creation of another four additional marine reserves for sustainable fisheries, located in Agadir, Larache, Nador and Boujdour.
