Indiana American estimates it provides more than 33.1 million gallons of Lake Michigan water a day to customers in Northwest Indiana. Last year, it met standards for lead, copper, coliform, E. coli, nitrate, aluminum, chloride, manganese, iron, sulphate, chloride and other regulated substances.
