A man was sentenced Tuesday to 48 years in state prison after admitting earlier this year that he fatally stabbed two people at a Bergen County home in 2021, authorities said.Clarence Stokes, 46, of Paterson, pleaded guilty on Jan. 8 to two counts of murder in the killing of Hackensack residents Latrice Avery, 44, and Stanley Gunter, 67, according to a statement from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office.
