Man Sentenced to 50 Years for Aggravated Kidnapping in La Marque

Edmond Porter was arrested on September 20, 2024, for Aggravated Kidnapping after abducting a woman at gunpoint from the La Marque Sam’s parking lot. With assistance from the League City Police Department, Porter was later located and taken into custody. Trial proceedings began on August 4, 2025, in the Galveston County 56th District Court.
