COVENTRY, R.I. (WPRI) — The man who abducted an elderly Coventry woman and tried to strangle her to death was sentenced to serve 45 years in prison on Friday. Steven Henning pleaded guilty in June to charges including kidnapping, assault with a deadly weapon, first-degree robbery, and assault on a person over 60 resulting in serious bodily injury.
