Man sentenced for beating mother of child, violating restraining order

An Oroville man found guilty of beating and strangling the mother of his two-year-old child, right in front of the child, was sentenced Thursday at Butte County Superior Court to two years and eight months in state prison, according to news release by the Butte County District Attorney’s Office.
