46-year-old gets for 50 years for murder of man who was disabled, battling cancer
Tony Lee Schoettmer, 46, of Anderson, Indiana, was sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of Jim Gaw, a man who was disabled and suffering from cancer. His body was discovered in June 2025in a rural area a few miles west of the I-69 interchange for Campus Parkway in Noblesville and Southeastern Parkway in Fishers.
