On July 4, Rye police responded to a one-car rollover accident on the Boston Post Road at the intersection of Bradford Ave. An investigation revealed that the crashed vehicle was traveling north on the Boston Post Rd when according to the driver, he was attempting to avoid an animal in the roadway, struck the curb causing him to over correct and flip his vehicle.
