Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault in Long Beach
A man was taken into custody for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday. Officers were dispatched at 5:47 p.m. Saturday to the 300 block of Cherry Avenue regarding a sexual assault, according to Sgt. Laurie Barajas of the Long Beach Police Department. “The initial investigation revealed an adult female victim reported she had been sexually assaulted. A male adult suspect was taken in custody,” Barajas said. …
Investigations are continuing after a woman reported being sexually assaulted in Stanwell.
It’s claimed a man followed her along Douglas Road before forcibly kissing her and exposing himself on the afternoon of July the 22nd. An appeal for information was made by Surrey Police in the first week of August, around two weeks after the incident was reported. Responding to public criticism about the timeframe, police say it was to allow officers sufficient time to investigate other lines of enquiry.
