- Justice P.T. Asha said `After examining the materials, it is crystal clear that the complainant's grievance appears to be an afterthought` while the court set aside the CBFC chairperson's referral letter as without jurisdiction.
- The CBFC sought an urgent appeal before the Chief Justice's Bench, asking for an urgent writ appeal hearing expected on Friday or Monday .
- Beyond box-office stakes, producers said nearly 500 crore was at risk as advance bookings with tickets up to ₹2000 began, and the film is expected to be Vijay's final before Tamil Nadu elections this year.
