UPDATE 10 pm: Madison Fire and Rescue say an elderly man died in the house fire off Conger Road.

Madison County coroner called to fatal house fire

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) - Madison Fire and Rescue Crews were called to a fatal fire at home on Conger Road. Two dead after Black Hawk helicopter crash near Huntsville Fire crews were able to pull the resident from the home, but he died. Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill confirmed he was called to the scene. The Alabama State Fire Marshal's Office will be assisting in the investigation of the fire.
