MACOMB COUNTY, MICHIGAN, JUL 10 – A dispute between employees led to the stabbing of a McDonald’s manager, resulting in her death; a customer fired a warning shot with no injuries reported.
- On Thursday morning, a 26-year-old Eastpointe employee fatally stabbed her 39-year-old manager co-worker at a McDonald's on 9 Mile Road in Eastpointe, Michigan.
- The stabbing followed a verbal dispute earlier in the day that led management to send the suspect home, who then returned armed with a knife.
- A customer witnessing the assault fired a warning shot to stop the attack and detained the suspect until police arrived and arrested her.
- The victim, a longtime McDonald's employee and parent to six children, succumbed to multiple stab wounds in the hospital, while the gunshot fired during the incident did not hit anyone.
- Authorities plan an arraignment and will send the case to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office, and the incident remains under investigation with a police request for witnesses to contact Detective Showers.
