M&S Brings Back Four Iconic Chocolate Bars From Its 1980s Sweets Range to Shops
The return follows M&S’s revival of the St Michael Take 4 bar four months ago as it taps nostalgia for 1980s confectionery.
Four chocolate bars returned to Marks and Spencer foodhalls today , reviving 1980s favourites Jet, Now, Sparks, and Coconut Grove wrapped in retro St Michael packaging.
The St Michael brand dominated M&S products for five decades before retiring in 2000; M&S revived it for menswear in 2021 after gaining popularity on second-hand platforms, now extending the comeback to confectionery.
Jet combines soft nougat, peanut and caramel similar to a Snickers, while Sparks mirrors Mars with nougat-caramel filling; consumers can purchase full-size bars or a 14-piece mini variety pack.
One excited customer said "I can't wait to relive my youth all over again," while social media users posted "Love the St Michael's branding ❤️ Takes me back."
M&S's chocolate revival aligns with its broader modernisation strategy, including the opening of its largest standalone food store this week in Godalming, Surrey, positioning the treats to reach a new generation.
