Lynn celebrates 175 years as a city

LYNN — The city will be celebrating its 175th anniversary as a city on Wednesday, May 14, from 4-5 p.m. at the Lynn Common. While Lynn was founded as a town in 1629, Lynn didn’t officially become a city until May 14, 1850. The celebration will include the reveal of the fountain, which was restored to working condition, at Lynn Common to commemorate the event.
