Lula, Bolsonaro Strike Calmer Tone in Final Brazil Election Debate
President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Senator Flávio Bolsonaro held their second and final debate before Sunday’s presidential runoff, using a calmer tone than in their earlier debate.
The candidates discussed Brazil’s economy, infrastructure, and regional development while exchanging insults and accusations.
Bolsonaro led the first round with 47% of the vote to Lula’s 45%, while a later Datafolha poll placed them at 50% each.
