Stranded Boys Struggle to Survive in Lord of the Flies Trailer
The four-part series adapts William Golding's novel with over 30 boys stranded on a Pacific island; all episodes will be available at launch on BBC iPlayer.
- On Sunday, February 8 BBC One will launch Lord of the Flies with weekly 9pm episodes and all episodes available on BBC iPlayer from 6am.
- Adapted by Jack Thorne, the four-episode Lord of the Flies series from Sony-owned Eleven was commissioned by BBC Drama’s Lindsay Salt, directed by Marc Munden, and produced by Callum Devrell-Cameron.
- The cast includes Winston Sawyers as Ralph, Lox Pratt as Jack, David McKenna as Piggy, Ike Talbut as Simon, and Noah Flemming and Cassius Flemming as twins Sam and Eric in the four-episode miniseries with over 30 boys.
- Buzz has grown since the trailer release, and Sony Pictures Television holds international distribution rights, positioning the series for global reach as the trailer depicts boys descending into tribalism and feuding.
- Executive producers include Joel Wilson and Jamie Campbell for Eleven, with composer Cristobal Tapia de Veer scoring and Hans Zimmer contributing the main theme, signaling strong industry backing.
