Local author hopes young adult novel will help people understand epilepsy

Author Lori Wolf-Heffner was 11 years old when she was diagnosed with eyelid myoclonia — a rare form of epilepsy. She didn't realize until she was older that people around her sometimes looked at her differently because of her condition. She hopes to change that perception with her young adult novel Be Right Back: First Position. Wolf-Heffner spoke with CBC K-W's John Dalusong about her condition and how it led to her writing the book.
