In Mali, the results of the attack carried out on 10 September 2026 by the Jihadists of the Jnim, linked to al-Qaeda, against the army camp in Dioura, in the Mopti region, increased. According to several sources, at least 100 Malian soldiers were killed, twice as much as the first estimates collected on the ground. Dozens of other soldiers were taken prisoner by the jihadists.
