Lithuania will not follow Estonia's refusal to teach in Russian: other decisions are being made
Estonia has decided to gradually abandon Russian as a language of instruction by 2030, leaving it only as a foreign language. The goal of the reform is to ensure equal opportunities for all children in the country to learn and integrate into Estonian society. Lithuania, as Eltai notes, does not intend to follow Estonia's example, although the results of students in Russian schools, especially in Lithuanian, are worse than in Lithuanian schools.
