Cooling centers open in Winnebago County ahead of weekend heatwave

ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO) — With dangerous heat and humidity predicted for the Rockford area this weekend, Winnebago County is notifying residents of "cooling centers" where residents can go to get a break from the heat. Forecast models show a disturbance quickly diving in Friday morning.
