For the first time in history, fuel assemblies from the North American company Westinghouse have arrived at the Dukovany nuclear power plant. They follow deliveries to Temelín, where they were renewed after fifteen years.
The Dukovany nuclear power plant has received its first fuel delivery from the American company Westinghouse. The power plant will switch to it for the first time in its history, having previously used Russian fuel. The Temelín power plant has already received fuel in recent weeks.
The new blocks of the Dukovany nuclear power plant have been given the green light. Thanks to the 400 billion crown construction, up to 10,000 people will come to the region. The surrounding area is therefore facing a number of challenges: securing housing, completing roads, and a shortage of doctors.
