This is in response to Carl Ribaudo’s “MyView: Notes from the Front Row”, July 27, 2025. South Lake Tahoe has indeed transformed into an entertainment scene during the summer with many venues to pick from. Car accidents Recently there have been several car chases in which vehicles have been destroyed and people injured or killed. This is terrible.  Additionally, having a stolen vehicle destroyed in a chase does not do the owner any good. Many states have rules requiring a chase be called off when it is recognized as becoming dangerous. There should be such a rule here in every jurisdiction.
