Car accidents Recently there have been several car chases in which vehicles have been destroyed and people injured or killed. This is terrible. Additionally, having a stolen vehicle destroyed in a chase does not do the owner any good. Many states have rules requiring a chase be called off when it is recognized as becoming dangerous.
