Letter: Paving Pinecrest Park ‘many steps in the wrong direction’

Dear Editor, I was happy to read that Strathcona Gardens can look forward to a third ice sheet, but dismayed to see that the parking lot planned for the facility is Pinecrest Park, which is a pleasantly shady park with a perimeter walking trail as well as a soccer and slo-pitch field at the very top of Campbell River. Surely the Strathcona Gardens Commission could find a more suitable parking solution? The plan calls for a 220 metre covered walk…
