Every year, Mike Wade, a Nevis resident and a retired U.S. Army veteran, buys thousands of dollars’ worth of candy for Halloween. The candy amounts to several pickup loads. He then transfers it to 5-gallon pails, then ice cream buckets and allows the kids to take what they want.
