Day of Work: Thousands Expected to Demonstrations of Trade Unions

"Make yourself strong with us! " is the motto of the rallies May 1. DGB head of state Wingertszahn and SPD Prime Minister Schweitzer perform at the central event in Ludwigshafen.

'Everyone knows, no higher wages without a struggle!' This was one of the many slogans of the trade unions this May 1 in Berlin.

The DGB wants to press for a tariff loyalty law in NRW at the rallies on 1 May. Politicians are also expected to attend the events.
