The Chief Epidemiologist announced this week that a campaign should be launched to vaccinate boys against HPV. The vaccination is free for boys born between 2008 and 2010. By far the most common cancer associated with HPV is cervical cancer, but in men, pharyngeal cancer is also common and is also associated with the HPV virus.
