The number of cases of people affected by the intestinal bacteria campylobacter is currently increasing in Sweden – from around 30 a week in early June to over 200 cases last week. “It is very seasonal. From July, the number of reports starts to increase significantly,” says Rikard Dryselius, investigator at the Swedish Public Health Agency.
