The growing popularity of larger cars such as SUVs is pushing up bonnets in Europe, increasing risks for pedestrians, especially children, a report by the European Federation for Transport and the Environment (T&E) concludes. A higher front end reduces drivers’ visibility of small children directly in front of the car.
