DENVER (KDVR) — A Lakewood child caretaker was sentenced to 18 years in the Department of Corrections on Tuesday, according to a press release from the 1st Judicial District Attorney's Office. A seven-day trial led to a jury finding McKinley Slone Hernandez, 26, guilty on one count of child abuse-recklessly causing serious bodily injury.
