The statue of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin, the leader of the Bolshevik Revolution and founder of the Soviet Union, in the city of Osh, Kyrgyzstan, was once considered the largest in Central Asia. But that title is now up for grabs as authorities have dismantled it, AFP reported on Saturday, as former Soviet republics in the region seek to strengthen their national identity.
