At Least 15 Killed in Ukraine After Russian Strikes
Ukraine said Russian forces fired 50 missiles and 130 drones overnight, as rescuers searched rubble and air defenses intercepted dozens of weapons.
On Wednesday, Russia launched at least 50 missiles and 130 drones across Ukraine, killing at least 15 civilians and injuring more than 40 in strikes on Kyiv and 12 other regions.
President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned of "massive" strikes targeting energy infrastructure, calling the assault "one of the most vile strikes" in the nearly five-year conflict.
Interior Minister Ihor Vyhivskyi reported a missile strike in Pryluky killed nine people, including three children, while Ukraine's air force intercepted five ballistic missiles, 39 cruise missiles, and over 100 drones.
Zelensky said Ukraine targeted two oil facilities and a training ground in Perm, Samara, and Astrakhan, while also indicating Ukrainian forces struck a tanker in the Black Sea.
