Syria: Kurdish self-government challenges legitimacy of new government

In Syria, the new government was announced on Saturday, 29 March, by Ahmed al-Charaa, acting president for five years. Following the abuses on the Syrian coast aimed at the majority of the Alawite community in early March, the president intended to be inclusive by integrating the entire Syrian denominational mosaic. However, this government does not seem to please the Kurds of the north-eastern Syrian.
