Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said today that Poland expects losses of more than $2.1 billion due to the new agreement between the US and the European Union on tariffs on European goods exports, but that a bad agreement is better than a pointless tariff war between allies.
The trade agreement between the EU and the US, which includes 15 percent flat tariffs, will lead to a slowdown in the growth of the Czech economy by 0.2 percentage points this year and by 0.39 points in 2026, according to a quick rough estimate by the Ministry of Finance.
While some welcomed with relief the end of uncertainty, others lamented the basic 15 per cent tariff
