Floods expected in Khartoum following failure in Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam operation - Egypt Independent

The Professor of Geology and Water Resources at Cairo University, Abbas Sharaky, said there is a high probability of flooding on both sides of the Blue Nile and the Nile rivers near the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, at the end of August, similar to before the construction of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD).
