Key Shapiro budget measure on corporate taxes advances in House; faces Senate GOP opposition

The House Finance Committee has advanced a bill to create a combined reporting system for corporate taxes, a move which supporters say will level the playing field for businesses and net the commonwealth more revenue.It’s the first time the long-discussed measure — which seeks to address the so-called “Delaware loophole” — has gotten a vote in the General Assembly. The committee vote was along party lines, with the Democratic majority in favor.
