Kelowna Walk for Alzheimer's honourees thankful for local support

On May 25, Kelowna’s City Park hosted the Walk for Alzheimer’s, where Chuck and Michele Liebrock played a central role in supporting dementia fundraising efforts.
The walk took place because Michele's husband, Chuck Liebrock, a former professional football player, received a dementia diagnosis approximately five years ago.
More than 25 teams joined the fundraiser, which started at 1 p.m. With speeches from honourees, local politicians, and the IG Wealth Management representative.
The event raised over $32,000, and participants enjoyed a post-walk lunch prepared by the local Lions Club, supporting Alzheimer Society of B.C. Programs.
This fundraiser underscores community efforts to provide ongoing support and resources for individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease and their loved ones.
