Kaynes, Amber, SRF, Syrma win nod under ₹22,919-cr electronics components scheme; to roll out local parts from mid-2026
Seven projects under the Electronics Components Manufacturing Scheme will produce components worth Rs 36,559 crore and generate over 5,100 direct jobs, officials said.
- On Monday, October 27, 2025, Union Electronics and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw approved seven projects under ECMS worth Rs 5,532 crore.
- The ECMS received strong response from domestic and global firms after its April 8, 2025 notification with Rs 22,919 crore outlay and investment proposals worth Rs 1.15 lakh crore.
- According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, the projects will produce components worth Rs 36,559 crore, create over 5,100 jobs, and export 60% of output while meeting domestic copper clad laminate demand.
- The approvals allocate manufacturing of units across Tamil Nadu , Andhra Pradesh , and Madhya Pradesh , with four projects to Bengaluru-based Kaynes Technology and one each to SRF Ltd, Syrma Strategic Electronics, and Ascent Circuits Pvt Ltd.
- Under the ECMS turnover- and capex-linked incentives, companies must meet annual targets and demonstrate a net worth of at least 50%, with five-year capex rules and penalties for unmet employment goals.
