Crews rescue kayaker from water in Freetown
FREETOWN, Mass. (WPRI) — A 21-year-old man was rescued in Freetown after his kayak overturned in rough waters. Officials were notified around 4 p.m. Tuesday that a person was in the water at Long Pond off Haven Heights. Freetown firefighters spotted the man about 400 yards offshore and Lakeville's inflatable skiff was sent out to rescue him.
