Bravo to Noel Abbott (“The hidden costs of bad Amherst roads,” Gazette, July 29) for his letter and suggestion that the Amherst Town Council hold a special meeting to hear from constituents about the hazardous condition of our roads. Back in March, 30 of my South Amherst neighbors and I signed a letter to the Town Council and Town Manager that made similar points and asked what the plan was to address them.
