The new chairwoman of Poland 2050, Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, sharply criticized the idea of Education Minister Barbara Nowacka. "It's crazy to watch this," she wrote, commenting on the announcement that, from September 1st, health education will be mandatory in primary and secondary schools, while the sexuality component, 1-2 hours a year, will be optional and dependent on parental consent.
The head of the Presidential Chancellery, Zbigniew Bogucki, did not rule out that "the president will have no objections" if health education in schools actually addresses healthy lifestyles. This was a reaction to Barbara Nowacka's announcement that the subject would be mandatory.
"It's crazy to see what's happening in education," Katarzyna Pełczyńska-Nałęcz, Minister of Funds, wrote on social media. She was responding to Barbara Nowacka's decision, announced on Thursday, to make health education a mandatory subject. The Poland 2050 leader noted that the Ministry of National Education is offering a solution that was on the table a year ago.
