Côte D'ivoire: Life Imprisonment Required for Five Accused in the Trial of the Jihadist Attack on Kafolo

In Côte d'Ivoire, on Monday 30 March 2026, the public prosecutor requested life imprisonment for five of the 45 accused tried in the context of the 2020 attack on a checkpoint in Kafolo. They were prosecuted for terrorist acts. During the attack claimed by Katiba Macina, 14 Ivorian soldiers had lost their lives.
