In Côte d'Ivoire, on Monday 30 March 2026, the public prosecutor requested life imprisonment for five of the 45 accused tried in the context of the 2020 attack on a checkpoint in Kafolo. They were prosecuted for terrorist acts. During the attack claimed by Katiba Macina, 14 Ivorian soldiers had lost their lives.
