The TSJA confirms a two-year prison sentence for a man arrested for a 244-kilogram cocaine shipment that arrived at the Port of Algeciras.

The High Court of Justice of Andalusia (TSJA) has ratified the sentence imposed by the Provincial Court of Cadiz on an accused to participate in the unloading of a cache of 244 kilos of cocaine arrived from Colombia in a fruit container to the port of Algeciras and subsequently transferred to a vessel in Jerez de la Frontera where it was being unloaded at the time the police intervention took place.

The drugs, hidden among bananas from Colombia, were intercepted by Customs Surveillance in an operation that resulted in eight convictions and the discovery of the container in a warehouse in Jerez. The owners of the container of bananas surrendered.
