Juliana Canal to be drained for four kilometers from October for work

The Julian Canal will be closed for months from October between Berg and Born, says the State Department, and the canal will have to be dried up for about four kilometers in order to remove a faulty construction pipeline, and problems with that construction pipeline have already led to weeks of streaks in the last year.

The Juliana Canal in Limburg will close between Berg and Born for months from October, reports Rijkswaterstaat. The canal must be drained over a length of approximately 4 kilometers in order to remove a defective construction pit. Problems with that construction pit also led to weeks of blockages last year.
