Somalia: Jubaland Deploys Elite Force to Battle Al-Shabaab in Lower Juba Offensive

Kismayo -- Jubaland has sent a large detachment of the elite Jubbaland Dervish Force into northern Lower Juba to confront Al-Shabaab militants, intensifying efforts to wrest the area from extremist control, officials said on Friday.

Jubaland Security Forces Advance to liberate areas under Al-Shabab control in Lower Jubba region

Jubaland Dervish Forces with combat vehicles advanced to liberate districts in Lower Jubba region which are under the control of the militant group of Al-Shabab. The heavily armed Jubaland security forces moved to districts where they will conduct operations which are aimed at driving out Al-Shabab remnants from the region.
