JR Nippo Line Sengan-en Station opens as gateway to promote the charms of Kagoshima (Kyodo News)

On the 15th, JR Kyushu held a commemorative ceremony to open the new Sengan-en Station (Kagoshima City) on the Nippo Line. Shuichi Fujiyasu, chairman of the station's establishment council, which is made up of local economic organizations, said in his opening remarks, "I would be happy if this becomes a gateway to disseminate the charms of Kagoshima." Nearby is the World Heritage Site Sengan-en Station, from which the station is named.
